The only blogs I set and forget are the ones that dont do well. What I do is write ten post and put them all up at once. Once everything is indexed I will submit to the artcle directories. Then I will drip feed the other 10 post over the next 3 to 4 weeks.

Submitting them all to article directories after they have been indexed on my site. Within about 90 days of starting the site I will know if it is worth it to keep adding new articles every week or to move on. I dont rotate any of the articles, but I do make sure I sticky a nice presell post. This way anyone that comes to the main page will see it first.
