If it is the Aspirin, Bayer has twice as much as Excedrin in the same 'dosage'. The caffeine is supposed to speed up digestion and releases adrenaline which gets Excedrin in the bloodstream quicker. It also does constrict the blood vessels. Most cups of coffee are 80mg+. Two cans of pepsi/coke is about 65mg of caffeine.

For me, Bayer does absolutely nothing which is 100% aspirin. Excedrin doesn't work as well for me as Tylenol. My conclusion is that aspirin isn't doing anything for me. However, not everyone is the same, so, what works for me, may not work for you.
But, now you know the chemistry behind the three major brands.
