RaspberryPI looks cool, but, I'm liking Arduino a bit more as you can build components with it.

I wish the US would adopt the Canadian Nuclear plant design. Control rods are powered by the grid in the US, so, a failure of the grid for whatever reason means our control rods have to be lowered with batteries that are on-site. In Canada, the control rods are held by electromagnets, so, in the event of a power failure for whatever reason, the control rods instantly scram the reactor. Florida Power and Light did get approval for two more plants at each of the two existing nuclear sites in Florida, but, I think with the growth down here, nuclear is only going to be 30% and we appear to be pushing natural gas and combined cycle plants. They just got approval to demolish a coal plant in Fort Lauderdale and we got rid of our bunker-C plant in Palm beach - though, they only burned the black smoke producing oil at night when you couldn't tell what color the smoke was.
