I'm not real positive, I'm sure someone else here could verify this, but couldn't you also alter the .htaccess so that when someone types in
http://www.yourdomain.com/ it opens
http://www.yourdomain.com/warning.html ?
Then for the link lists that only list the root of the directory you could just submit
http://www.yourdomain.com/ (minus the index.html). And keep the links the way they are now - from warning.html to index.html. OR would that be considered cheating somehow?
sorry to interrupt, I'm trying to figure out why htaccess hates me and was browsing through here looking for answers. I just came across that solution recently and thought I'd mention it.
