First off it was a proven fact he DID have WMD during the first war in Iraq in the early 90's. We also went through all the necessary steps with the UN to get the weapons inspectors into his country and he was not very co-operative. Secondly all the intelligence from multiple countries stated he STILL had WMD's. They are still finding chemical labs all around the country, i think its a matter of time before they are either found or found out what actually happened to them (sold, hidden, burried, whatever).
Now, lets continue that thought. Even if he didn't have WMD's he still is known to sponsor and promote terrorism. Especially after September 11th when the president stated that you are either with us or against us. The Sadam regeime was definitely against anything democratic. The guy held an election in Iraq with only his name on the ballot. How fair is that? The problem is that many people believe what they read in left wing newspapers and media sources.
What people need to do is read 2 polar opposite news media sources and form their own opinions. No one president is THE best by any means, but regardless of the reason, Sadam needed to be removed from power.
Hell look at Kerry and the misery index, when the actual misery index doesnt fit his needs to make the president look bad (because the true misery index is the best it has been since the Carter administration), he has to make up his own to make his numbers work. Well shit in that case you can swing just about any statement and make it fit with a little white lie and ingenuity.
Again I am not a hardcore republican and I get most of my views from life experience. Being a veteran myself I saw what the Clinton administration did to the armed forces when I was in with removing benefits, downsizing etc., so I am a big fan of the republican party who believes in our military and giving them what is needed to thrive. I also get tired of the democrats raising taxes, hell I just paid my tax bill yesterday and if I have to pay another one like that, I will probably keel over with a heart attack. Democrats are known for raising taxes, and hell John Kerry openly admits he would repeal the tax cuts if he was elected. I personally like my money and my military (of course family is first) but money and military are the most important things to me in this country.
Just my 2 cents
