Got sick of having a smoky house so this morning I went out back and took the hose to what was left of the burning ficus stump. Now there is just a big muddy crater where the tree was. It was kind of cool the way the water started boiling as I was filling the crater up with water.
Went kayaking last night. I tried to talk Christy out of going last night because it was too windy and there was a storm coming. As soon as we got about two miles out a really nasty squall hit us. Nothing like fighting strong wind gusts as the rain is coming down so hard that you can't see. Being soaking wet in a sixty degree windy rain storm was about as much fun as it sounds.
Christy is spending today in the office preparing for her final on Tuesday so I'll probably also spend the day in the office working.
