Up early due to Christy getting up early to drive up to attend her father's service. Hopefully the weather today will be better than yesterday. Yesterday we had storms that were more like a mild hurricane than a rain storm. The streets got so flooded that she had to cancel all her clients and I had to drive miles out of my way trying to find a street that was passable to get back home from the gym.
I really need to get a new car. Now the heat is stuck on with really hot air coming out of the passenger vents. Did some research over at a Corvette forum and it is a common problem after getting a new battery. Seems the passenger side actuator breaks while recalibrating itself after a new car battery is installed. The part is only $90 but requires removing the top of the dashboard to change it. So now I have a choice of spending a half a day doing it myself or paying the dealer $850 to do it. Or I could just buy a brand new Jeep Rubicon and not have to worry about car repairs for many years. Decision, decision... spend $90 and a half day taking screws in and out, get raped by the dealer or have car payments again. Guess I'll order the part today.
Our naked house guest is coming down today so I have to turn our spare bedroom back into a spare bedroom and not a kayaking/snokeling/biking storage room.
Off to make some coffee and then start on my ever growing to do list.
