Unless you live under a rock, you know that the U.S. government is on a self imposed vacation. Politicians still get paid though. I accidentally typed "Shitdown" when I wrote the thread title.
Both previously hacked sites appear to be fine today -- touch wood. Now, I have to clean up the humpteenth backup and delete copied files and make a good backup of each site. Looks like it was an old script from an ancient version of Joomla that I overwrote instead of deleting and re-stalling. There are mean people on the Interwebs!
Busy day but I feel somewhat relieved.
