That's been my experience as well, that the few serious ones out there wait until the last few hours, sometimes even the last few minutes, and then all hell breaks loose. Any bids I've seen that come in at the start or mid-way through are often just newbs and thow-aways of people just seeing if they can "get it for that".

As far as what I'm doing this week, seeing as I just finished up a week-long writing order (for the english version of a large Asian pay network no less) I'm taking a few days off to get some yard work done. Maybe drink a beer, who knows.
