I have been buying old, recently dropped, niche domains to put blogs on to build organic traffic. I grabbed a nice PR3 domain for 10 bucks. Guess what! It's banned by Google.
Another one, which I thought was kind of lame, is already sending a trickle of traffic to the paysite after a week of having it, even though it has only two posts, both of which are galleries. Weird, unpredictable results.
