If they dont want to actually fix it, why not at least generic spindoctoring:
"We have removed your terms from our index and have deployed resources to clean out all such terms that accidentally or otherwise target the keywords of other companies. Thank you for bringing this to our attention, we will keep you posted on the progress"
...and then of course just remove yours and never keep anyone posted (unless actually feeling a bit shitty about it, but thats probably beyond reach)
