I know we are in the middle of a seasonal change. Got the dizziness, and all I wanted to do was sleep yesterday, so I did. Got very little work done, but I got some much needed rest.

I think we are seeing some light at the end of the tunnel here in Finland. Our lockdown started a bit later than some of the countries here in Europe (March 11), and we still have a good number of restrictions, but.. death rates are down, fewer people are in the hospital. Our big May Day (Vappu) celebrations are all canceled or virtual, and kids will start going back to school on May 14th with some tough guidelines. Best of all for our area, no new infections reported for several days now (and yes they are testing anyone who asks now.) The regional hospital has also begun to do day surgery again as, well, they have very few COVID patients (2, with 1 in the ICU). Granted, my area only has about 216,000 people but we are not that far from Helsinki where most of the infections have been. I think so much of this has been because of our lockdowns and border closures. People listened to the government and stayed home. Things are starting to get more green here. We have a pheasant that comes by and feeds in our yard daily. Lately, he has had 2 of his offspring with him.

Time to get back to work...
