isex: When I see a third level on a sort of non-adult domain, my assumption is "free host". If I saw your submissions, I treat them as free hosts and not list them. Many of the main link sites don't accept free hosted sites. Most reviewers don't have time to try to figure out what is what, so if it walks like a duck, and quacks like a duck, we call it a duck and move on.
Domains are $15 a year or less... so why not just get one?
As for content, same comment as Ernie: You will have a harder time getting listed with sponsor content. You are not going to get the most return on your time that way. Content also is not very expensive.
