Personally I think Microsoft is like a computer cancer.
They make crap that kind of looks like their competition's software, undersell them, then end up killing them in the marketplace. Kind of the way cancer kills healthy cells.
They have so much influence of the media that most people don't even realize that their are other choices out there.
Most computers in the world run some flavor of *nix. I don't see virus and worms being a big problem in other computing platforms, just Windows. Just about everyone is using Linux, just now knowing it. Something to think about next time you do a search on Google which is Linux powered.
I don't see business and government continuing to use Windows with its issues and costs. Linux is becoming more refined. KDE
www.kde.org is shaping up to be a real nice desktop.
Personally I use a flavor of *nix that has Adobe software and some Microsoft software written for it and runs on kewl looking hardware.
