1000 USD roughly converts to 500 pound sterling - which in spending power, is equal to about 350 USD. There's obviously more to it than that, but that sums it up. A typical signup, 35 bucks, is almost useless. 15 quid can hardly buy you anything (3 packs of cigs when I was a smoker). Unless you're a brit who's seeing 10+ signups a day, I'd advocate another career path. Thing is, despite fluctuating exachange rates, spending power (bang for your buck) has always been crap in the UK...it just costs more to live here. I've been helping a mate who wants to move to my neck of the woods. But his budget - of 300k (600k dollars)- wont even buy him a 1 bedroom apartment.
