Do you have your browser set to resize images?
I ask because I view everything at 100% on a 22" monitor and the scan lines are very pronounced.
I'm thinking that about the only way you wouldn't see them if you weren't viewing at 100% or had a very small monitor.
Pics look exactly the same in my browser as they do in Photoshop with the view set to actually pixels size.
