Actually I'm in a good place. We get lots of wind damage but I live on high ground of very flat land so we don't have any flooding problems and no matter how much it rains the ocean doesn't rise.
The houses here are built like bunkers with concrete block walls and small windows. With the storm shutters up we are very safe in our homes. Even having a tree blow over on it doesn't do anything worse then make the roof leak which makes a mess but that is about it.
But it is just a fucking inconvenient expensive uncomfortable annoying disruptive nightmare cleaning up after not to mention having no electric for days on end results in having to go camping in your own home with nothing to do but think about how fucking hot it is and how cold taking a shower is.
I hate hurricanes.
