Norton Internet Security as default blocks anything containing the characters "ads" and that's just the tip of the iceberg.
So if it sees "phpadsnew" in a url, all will become invisible to the surfer.

Not just Symantec..... my firewall Outpost has a huge list of ad blocking code, everything from #CLink to /banner/ to
www.sex-klick.com and a billion others.
