When I get new photo set - sponsor or paid - I put it in right folder. All sponsor pics I have under sponsor content folder named by sponsor and under that by site and under that by name/number.
Paid content is in folder paid content (of course) by producer and by niche. Every photo set in it's own folder. I also burn them on CD. I only buy downloadable content as I live here long way behind the God's back and I don't trust our custom.
If photo set has more than 20 pics I made a folder called used. Then I choose the pics I want to use and put them all to used folder. If pics are not in order, I rename them by hand. If they are in order I use THERename.
If photo set has only 20 pics I named it used, so I don't build second site from same content. My motto is build, submit, forget.
Works for me.
BTW, I don't burn sponsor's pics for CD, only paid content. Sponsor content comes and goes.
