As many hours as we all spend driving a desk, a good chair makes a huge difference. I had to replace mine a little over a year ago... old one had a serious list to starboard, and was threatening to break apart at any time.
I found that Sealy, the mattress peeps, also make desk chairs. They were on sale at Office Max (still not cheap) so I took the plunge. Best choice I've made in ages. Good back support and solidly built, will likely last three or four times longer than the one I'd paid half as much for.
