Ramster got us the last W9 we needed to file the 1096 & 1099's today. For some reason, it was stuck in my head that these fucking 1099's had to be filed by Feb 28th. So as I'm writing up the address for the 1096 (the master form you send the IRS) I read that they are supposed to be mailed by Jan 31st

So I searched to see if there's a fine for filing late:
1096: $30 each if within 30 days
1099: $50 each if within 30 days

Nothing like racking up $360 in IRS fines for both your companies

I REALLY need to get drunk...
