Well you know boys, a nuclear reactor is a lot like women. You just have to read the manual and press the right button

Maybe not to a complete first-timer, but generally speaking I would suggest a VPS (not VPN) rather than shared hosting. Many of the benefits of a dedicated host at much cheaper prices. Although the costs are in most cases considerably higher if you only have a limited budget, you do get what you pay for in a host.

If you're on a shared host with 5 or even 50 other users and a few of them get listed on large traffic sites, all of your sites will suffer. I do understand there is a place for them, but I would not personally host any mission critical websites on a shared host - then again when I earned money I always opted for stability over simple affordability.

Hosting is getting ridiculously cheap these days, then again, apart from niches without much of a user base, hence any real chance to make a site in that niche very profitable, is there any search term you could put into Google or Bing without having a tube site, torrent page, forums with links to storage lockers, evem TGP's or MGPs with direct downloads of full length, high quality porn? (I don't search any more, but I am including all of the mostly spammy, but still highly visible sites such as tube search engines, torrent search engines, adult forum search engines etc.)

I would also advise against using a mainstream host for adult, unless your websites are real crossovers that wouldn't violate any terms, however I'd still recommend a respected adult host simply because they're usually cheaper and a lot less likely to shitcan you (or steal your domain in GoDaddy's case) because they don't agree with the content of your website.
