Redirects?

Ok well I'm putting up a new site and it's almost done. My question is this. I went and got my two domain names now. I can either call my small hosting company and have them move over the account to represent that one. Or I can buy another IP and work off of my dedicated server. Now I'm thinking of just redirecting the doman name. So when anyone types in "mydomainname.com" Direct NIC (yes I bought them from them again, to much shit getting with a new company) anyway directnic will forward them to my little host. When a user is at the site they will never see any URL other then the domain name. No directories or anything. Could or would this be a problem submitting? Or any other issues anyone might know of?
