freesite review please!

Hello, I am new to the board and was told by someone that this is a good board to be a part of.

I am in the process of learning to build freesites and would like a review from some experienced freesite builders.

Not horrible as a first experiment but it won't get accepted most places and probably wouldn't make that good of sales.

Your first big graphic is too big, 200 k, needs to be substantially smaller. some would want it's dimensions smaller also. Your main page 'conceals' the gallery links too much for some listings, and you really sacrifice a lot of selling power just using those small banners, you should add text.

The gallery pages are wider than the 800 pixels which is the current standard - you have to design the page to fit inside a browser set at 800 wide.

And you are selling too passively thruout, you are allowed to sell more aggresively than that.

I suggest going to greenguy's gay categories and look at the sites he has listed there, to get a sense of how things are done these days.

A lil page by page review...

Entry page...be sure to post up another site for review when you have recips on it. Will be good to get some feedback...make sure your recip tables look okay too

Also, you'll want to make sure you get a title tag on your pages. And your site title should be on the entry page...preferably in the upper half of the page.

That big top banner is sure BIG...it almost 'feels' like a blind link even though it has the name of the site on it...just my perception for some reason. That banner is also HUGE in kb...optimize that thing if you're going to use it...will make for slow loading pages otherwise. And don't be afraid to wrap some juicy text above/below/both on your banner ads

The little button banner in the middle of the page is definitely a blind link. Here's a great thread on blind links;

Moving on to your main page...

Again, put a title in your metas. And add some enticing text on the page. Surfers these days don't fall for just plain old banners anymore...those days are long gone. Gotta get em warmed up a bit...convince em that site you're advertising will ease the tingly feeling in their loins...hehehe

Gallery one...

Top text link is blind...again read the thread I referenced...should clear it up for ya. Also, all your pages must fit at 800x600 screen res. This gallery is way too wide. Your thumbs need to be optimized...try to get them down to about 5-7k. A couple of the full size images I hit were a little large...not bad though. Try to keep those under 70k at the maximum...preferably about 45-60k. Again, wrap some text above/below those banners...and get some text on the page...warm things up

Oh, and ya did use a title this time...lol...but try sticking some keywords in there..."Horny Guys Sucking Cock"...something along those lines.

Gallery two...

Juice up the title meta. This one fits at 800x600 so good to go there. That bottom text link is way blind.

Last comment...I think your pics were out of order...try to keep them in some logical sequence. Meaning not naked and fucking in one pic...then clothed in the next.

Sorry, that got to be a long fingered review...but you'll be more sucessful at free sites if you get the feedback from the folks here and implement it

lol...I was going to review it myself but it seems like most here already have done it. However, I'd be interested to see any changes you make so when you do, post it here for another. Once done, we'd probably list you.
