Questions about link list submissions

Hi everyone, I've been building and submitting freesites for a few weeks now. I posted my first two here for your comments and got some really good advice which I've used and which has helped me make a few sales already Can't believe how good that first sale made me feel!! Thanks for the help!!!. Of course as I make progress I get questions. Here are the latest which I would greatly appreciate help with. Some link lists are closed for submissions and some appear to be by invitation only, I do understand that large lists probably do get lots of junk submissions and they have to weed out the crap but does this mean that I'll never have a chance with these guys? (Danger Dave and Tommys are a couple) or can I apply somewhere and show examples of my sites to show that I'm not a cowboy. Some seem to have premium submitters accounts, I think this means paying for listings which seems reasonable to me if they can send large amounts of traffic, is there a central site where I can apply for a premium account for example to Richards Realm? Any help with these would be appreciated. Thanks for being there for us newbies, now its back to freesite building!
