I need some advice for my newb blog.

Hello. I have a very low quality blog I would like to enhance bit by bit. I have the most elementary posts, little content, no links, nothing. If anyone could suggest a small or large option I should use, please do. I am learning illustrator so I can design a logo. Should I implement movies? Should I use multiple thumbs per post? Should I have links set up asap? Let me know if you feel like it, Thanks in advance - Pete
