How Much Content Should We Give Away ?

Because I build mainly text only sites, I give away very little free pics etc, but I want to drive some traffic to a new project I am working on...

So, I decided to make a few tgp galleries... and check out the competition.

I went to The Hun and looked at all the gallies in a niche I want to try and sell. I found a movie gallery with 12 clips. And I clicked on #12.

A 5 second clip - I thought cool. 12 x 5 seconds is maybe better than using 10 second clips, because it hasn't got started before it's over.

I clicked #11 and it's 20 seconds long with the money shot and all. The others were all the same. Eleven 20 second clips and a 5 second clip.

Have I gone mad?, but I thought the idea was to SELL the porn!!

Sorry for a rambling post, but I'm dumbfounded, lol

I think some people think they need to offer more so that the big places list them (which could very well be the case with this gallery)

Forget about thehun and the other big sites that get way too many submissions for now.

For movies galleries, to be safe you should have about 10 clips that are 10-12 seconds long. When you do not have a relationship with a tgp site owner that's the safest bet.

Once you are known to the site owner or a partner submitting, following their specific rules of 4 clips or 6 clips will get you listed consistently as long as the clips are clear, not 240x180 in size and a decent length.

Also making 4 movies say 20 seconds long will often burn less BW than 10 movies that are 12 seconds clips. And that is what the MPGs want usually, only 2-3 clips 20-30 seconds long.

Getting back to thehun, the first 10-15 galleries or more are paid spots. So go down near the bottom or in the middle to see what everyday regular webmasters are getting accepted with.

Don't get me wrong, I wasn't going to submit there, just checking out what people were building nowadays.

I don't use the big tgp's because I often promote something other than the usual paysites/penis pills etc.

I was just shocked at what I saw, lol. I guess like GG says, they wanted to get listed.

To tease or not to tease...

Giving away free money shots certainly attracts the traffic -- look at Sleazy Dream. But he makes his income from paid advertisements. I'm guessing TGPs/link lists that only "tease" are the ones trying to sell porn through sponsor/affiliate programs. Of course, in the US if you more than tease you're probably running the risk of being fingered by the law someday.
