Site Rejected Response
I run explorexxx.com and I actually send out rejection emails. They are premade and I pick one that suits the rejection reason if there is a reason. I do not reject many sites other than over used sponsor content.
So this morning I reject a site for this: "Reason: Content doesn't match. Please don't mix hardcore galleries with posing galleries. Make it a site with matching content please." Figure I may as well try to help webmasters figure out why they are rejected so they can listed next time. Just now I got this response: "idiot" That's it. Nothing else. Just called me an idiot. No more listings for him. FYI. That's why some sites do not bother with rejection emails. |

That's the stuff that blacklists are made of. I usually find it just a little disappointing to blacklist someone, but when it comes to shit like that, it puts a smile on my face.

Most scripts don't allow for rejection emails. Mine does so I send them, and usually give a reason as long as there's only one or two. I've known the frustration of the the unknown decline (I think it even has a tomb in Arlington )
However, I see so many repeat errors...the worst one being the same template submitted over and over again (sometimes more than once in a single day) that I give decline explanations a up to 3 times for the same thing then blacklist. I've always said, if you can't be bothered to read a rejection email that says "Fetish Philes LINK DECLINED WITH EXPLANATION" in the subject line and keep submitting the exact same crap, then I can't be bothered to keep reviewing your sites. I'm considering going to the "ask me at GG & Jim" program, simply because I get so many submits now and the overall quality is going down to the point where writing individual reasons in each one is starting to take up a LOT of time. I'll still send the decline emails if I go that route, but they'll just say to come ask me here. BTW, I once had a submitter actually THREATEN TO STOP SUBMITTING if I didn't list his site. Yup buddy, that's how you get listed.... |

I've always appreciated someone taking the time to send a rejection email. If you have an ounce of brains you take that rejection email, make corrections, and you start putting together pages that will get accepted by the majority of tgp's / LL's.

I don't have the time for the replies, so I don't send out emails for Jays. (On Marks I have quite a few pre made ones I do send out)
Neither does GG or MML. There are quite a few in here that I have helped, simply because they asked. But if you don't ask, you're on your own. I can be called an "idiot" by talking to my kids.. LOL

I got sick of the hate mail.
It also becomes time consuming to go looking though a list of reasons for a decline. It really adds up when you get a lot of submits. If you follow my rules, build a halfway decent site, give me a halfway decent recip on a page that gets some traffic, and use halfway decent content I'll list you. Going partner only really has helped out not getting spammed by crap. |

I've been called a liar, a crook, a pot of tea,...
It's really nice to see people respond in such a mature (damn I've started to hate that word) way when you want to point out their mistakes or whatever got their site declined. |

Um, but I digress... So, this thread has given me a good place to vent something that's been steaming me for a few days. I had a regular submitter who sent okay sites. No major breaking of the rules, but a lot of pushing the limits and a lot of mediocre sites. I recently started requiring niche-specific recips. The submitter in question had been using his/her own, totally made up recip for a long time. I never cared for it and really didn't care for it once I started requiring the new ones. So in every acceptance email, I gently requested the new recip. After a while I sent a "fake" rejection notice, again requesting the new recip. Finally I actually rejected a site and said flat out that I was tired of asking and a banning would follow. (Yes, I've since had "WELCOME" tattooed on my forehead.) The response? I quote: "I'd be happy to change your recips but please you tell me what traffic do you have?" After stewing for a while, pondering various cold but professional replies, I decided the appropriate response was, "Not enough to share with fuckwits who can't follow the most simple rules, when plenty of other people are more than willing to follow them without complaint." Then I decided a more appropriate response was to hit the ban button. Whew, sorry for such a long and self-serving post. That's been bugging me way more than it should have. Probably because I was feeling deeply insecure and small-penised after Google update Allegra. I'm better now. |

Mishi, once you learn that the ban button is your friend, you life is much better.
I changed the actual link domain for findpics in August 2004. The return links have been updated TWICE since. I still get people submitting with the old return link and old return graphic that has not been on my site in almost a year. Ban. My life is so much easier. Alex |

I'm always thankful when I receive a rejections notice.. perhaps a bit embarassed about messing up in the first place. Even if it's for a rule I think is assine. Makes it so much easier to either fix the problem or take that linklist off my recip table. Then I'm happy and I'm not annoying that webmaster by breaking their rules. Bitching about the rules on their list equals biting the hand that feeds you... never know what other linklists that webmaster might own or how they could lend you a hand in the future!
Because I like knowing what's up with sites I build, I do send out rejection/acceptence emails on my linklist; although since I switched to submitters having to be approved for an account by me, most are the approved kind. Some of my long-time submitters get thumbs up notes from me too hehe.. mine's not a big list and I'm really glad to have reliable people taking the time to submit. I think some of these angry webmasters need to take up yoga and get some inner peace!

I do sometimes send out a rejection notice if it is something simple like a broken image or something but what really gets me is how often I will see the same problems over and over again even after sending out a rejection of why I'm not listing their stuff. My ban list is now almost as huge as my database of listed sites.

rejection emails take way too much time to send out but also it does help alot because sometimes a webmaster may be unaware of a problem with there site such has not being able to see a broken thumb when it is cached on the client side.
but seriously to get a rude response when a webmaster is trying to be helpfull to a submitter is just wrong and should be added to the ban list asap. but i got to give all those a thumbs up for those that do take that time to notify submitters of there problems. rejection emails is definitely a privilage.

I know it takes time, but some of us do care very much and will try harder to send you the sites you want. If you don't get fresh new sites, then your surfers have little reason to come back to you. I even appreciate knowing why I got turned down for partner accounts (and no, I don't apply when it says by Invite Only!) |

Newbie to LL question based on the OP.
I can see that having one gallery promoting a posing site, and one promoting a hardcore site is not too smart. What if I wanted to promote the same hardcore site with the same model in both galleries. Could I have gallery 1 as a teaser posing page, and gallery 2 as a hardcore page, or should I have a bit of hardcore on the end of gallery one to lead the surfer on to gal 2? |

Maybe he was from San Diego?
Seems they like that word there! - just kidding! I made up several rejection emails, but then thought I might combine them all into one that reads like so: ..................... Your gallery was rejected because of one of the following reasons: • Wrong niche • Overused sponsor content • Images too small or over compressed • Broken links I'm sure you can figure out which one is yours. Best of luck! Bill .................. Whataya think? Bill
