Hillary Clinton to accept Obama's offer of secretary of state job
http://www.guardian.co.uk/world/2008...etary-of-state
After 8 years of Bush and his cronies, I can't complain...although I would like to see some newer faces in Obama's admin. I will say Hillary is competent, although the Clinton name carries a lot of baggage. Interesting though, I haven't heard this announced in USA news. |

She hasn't fully accepted, yet. They have to vet Bill Clinton's dealings 1st to make sure that there isn't an issue.
Obama doesn't really have the much of an experienced pool were to get people. The last democratic president before Clinton to draw on was Carter and most of them are too old. That is what people are forgetting, when Clinton brought in a bunch of new people who didn't know how the White House and the Hill worked it totally bungled his 1st year. You need the experience to get things done....and I for one do not want most of the left overs of Bush. |

It's looking like Caroline Kennedy will probably get Hilliary's seat.
Senate seat for Caroline Kennedy would extend legacy And her interest in that seat could mean the continuation of a Kennedy legacy in the Senate that began 56 years ago with the election of her father, John F. Kennedy, as the junior senator from Massachusetts. Her uncle Edward has represented Massachusetts in the Senate for more than four decades. Her uncle Robert served as junior senator from New York from 1965 until he was assassinated in 1968. http://edition.cnn.com/2008/POLITICS...ennedy.senate/ |
