I'd go with either of the non-hyphenated names. Otherwise you could build a site and have someone come along and open the non-hyphenated version, possibly getting a lot of your traffic from type-ins and some other sources.

Might also want to reconsider posting domain names you haven't registered yourself yet. Since people are looking for good tube domains, anyone reading this thread might decide to grab one or more of these for themselves.

Note: Not all two-word non-hyphenated dot com tube domains are gone. I grabbed PixieTube.com yesterday for a future teen tube site. Not easy to find, but they're definitely not all gone.

If I had a choice I'd not use a hyphen.

And I don't think you need tube in the name but those aren't bad names.

Id go with non hyphenated. And just as Ramster stated, I dont think you need tube in the domain name. What if in 6 months tubes drop off the face of the net...then youre stuck with a domain that really cant be used for anything else.

I would not use a hyphen either as stated by the others
You can find two word domains with tube in it but you have to think outside the box

Good point. Of course there's going to be a lot of disspointed mofos if that happens...some of those two word tube names are selling for thousands right now.

Nah, tubes are not going anywhere. They are just a newer version of MGP and they are still around. Just like Blogs, TGPs, LinkLists and even picposts. They may not be the flavor of the month a year from now but they will still have surfers and will still create sales.

i have a hyphenated one that the non hyphenated was just a parked domain page when i bought my hypenated one....now the non hyphenated is the same type of site as mine so it is kind of shitty....i still am higher on the se though if you just search the words involved in the name on the big G. but i guess i was hoping whoever had it parked was just a domain buyer sitting on it, so now i kinda wish i would have picked a different name.

just some fyi there.

You're right....those are good ones.

That being said, there should be plenty of decent ideas out there and you could always point the hyphenated domain to a regular one if its available.

Jut playing devils advocate. What I really was pointing out was, if you decided to change up youd have a domain for other uses.

Where's the option for "None of the above"? Sorry to be harsh, but all 3 of those domains suck. The hyphenated name sucks because of traffic bleed. With the remaining two, I bet most people can't remember either of those domains after 5 minutes. While you may pick up one of these domain names for registration fee, you're going to be spending lots of effort (and maybe advertising $) on branding in the long run.

After learning the lesson the hard way, I usually try to get both versions of a domain for anything important, and point one of the versions to the other depending on which one I think is better in that case (easy to read, to see the words, etc). If the non-hyphenated is already taken I don't bother with that domain since I know my work will benefit someone else.

In Tommy's case he has both versions, and he points the non-hyphenated to the hyphenated, probably because it's easier to read that way (but no matter what a surfer types he'll still get to Tommy's site).

In Greenguy's case, someone else owns the non-hyphenated version and they're making money by parking the domain and letting it be fed by surfer traffic too lazy to type hyphens when they hear about the great Link O Rama site.

Domains were pretty expensive ($70 or so each) when I started, so we have lots of domains where we only own one version. But with domains costing under $10, it seems a wise move to grab both versions now.
