Woke up trying to figure out why we had no internet in our bedroom. Walked around the house resetting wifi base stations trying to get the internet working. Started thinking that a base station had gone bad or something. Finally after 20 minutes of frustration noticed that the UPS was off that the base station was plugged into. Amazingly once the base station had power everything started working.

Called Panasonic yesterday to find out the status of my camera repair only to find out that they seem to have lost it. Tracking shows that they received it and signed for it so it looks like after a very long time I'll be getting a new camera out of them.

Good thing that I have already bought a replacement for it that arrived yesterday. Just in time for our kayaking and snorkeling trip this weekend that now looks like it will get canceled due to bad weather that started moving in today.

Just a day spent home working planned for today.

Usual day of work though I might take off early to do some painting tonight at home in the basement which has finally been mostly fixed.

What option did you go with in redoing the basement? You take the money or you just pay someone else to handle it all? Sounds like you took a little of the money if you are doing some of the painting.

Well I'm drinking coffee and in shock that it's already Friday. I guess that's a good thing though.

We are really bummed about the weather this weekend.

What makes it even worse is the Air and Sea Show is this weekend and we live next to where it takes place. Right now I'm going deaf listening to fighter jets flying over our house and by tomorrow our neighborhood will be invaded by thousands of cars and people making it very unpleasant for us residents.

We really want to get out of town this weekend while this is taking place.

But we now know someone that has a place in Key Largo and we can stay there for free. This means that a trip costs us a half a tank of gas and some tolls so we are planning on doing a lot of weekend trips to Key Largo this year.

That's awesome. It's the best knowing people you like being with that live in cool spots. That's how my lady and I are able to visit so many fun places. Generally it's just a plane ticket or some gas and then the weekend pretty much costs just about the same or a lot of times less then what we would have been doing around town anyway.
