"... the worst president since Ulysses S. Grant ..."
This is kinda sweet - southern women abandoning Bush.
http://news.yahoo.com/s/ap/20060907/...southern_women ""I think history will show him to be the worst president since Ulysses S. Grant," said Barbara Knight, a self-described Republican since birth and the mother of three. "He's been an embarrassment." In the heart of Dixie, comparisons to Grant, a symbol of the Union, are the worst sort of insult..." ""In 2004, you saw an utter collapse of the gender gap in the South," said Karen Kaufmann, a professor of government at the University of Maryland who has studied women's voting patterns. White Southern women liked Bush because "he spoke their religion and he spoke their values." Now, anger over the Iraq war and frustration with the country's direction have taken a toll on the president's popularity and stirred dissatisfaction with the Republican-held Congress. Republicans on the ballot this November have reason to worry. A recent Associated Press-Ipsos poll found that three out of five Southern women surveyed said they planned to vote for a Democrat in the midterm elections. With control of the Senate and House in the balance, such a seismic shift could have dire consequences for the GOP. |

Olbermann to Bush: "Have you no sense of decency, sir?"
I fuckin' love Kieth Olbermann!
http://www.msnbc.msn.com/id/6210240/ "Today, in the same subtle terms in which Mr. Bush and his colleagues muddied the clear line separating Iraq and 9/11 -- without ever actually saying so—the President quoted a purported Osama Bin Laden letter that spoke of launching, “a media campaign to create a wedge between the American people and their government.” Make no mistake here—the intent of that is to get us to confuse the psychotic scheming of an international terrorist, with that familiar bogeyman of the right, the “media.” The President and the Vice President and others have often attacked freedom of speech, and freedom of dissent, and freedom of the press. Now, Mr. Bush has signaled that his unparalleled and unprincipled attack on reporting has a new and venomous side angle: The attempt to link, by the simple expediency of one word—“media”—the honest, patriotic, and indeed vital questions and questioning from American reporters, with the evil of Al-Qaeda propaganda. That linkage is more than just indefensible. It is un-American. Mr. Bush and his colleagues have led us before to such waters. We will not drink again." |

Holy fuck their letting this idiot teach
Still, some Southern women remain stalwart supporters of the president and the Republican Party. At a watermelon festival in Chickamauga, in the mountains of northwest Georgia, substitute teacher Clydeen Tomanio said she remains committed to the party she's called home for 43 years. "There are some people, and I'm one of them, that believe George Bush was placed where he is by the Lord," Tomanio said. "I don't care how he governs, I will support him. I'm a Republican through and through."

At least "Scholastic" has pulled back their student teacher handouts they distributed earlier about this new teledocumentary being televised by Disney/ABC that plays completely to party lines and blames Clinton for 9/11 - they got so many threatening calls from parents to the school boards to no longer buy from Scholastic they had to pull the BS handouts - now is Disney will stop pandering to the administration
This goes right along with the bid the govt just put out to pay millions of your tax dollars to a company to "control: the media message from Iraq From the 14 Defining Characteristics of Fascism: 6. Controlled Mass Media - Sometimes to media is directly controlled by the government, but in other cases, the media is indirectly controlled by government regulation, or sympathetic media spokespeople and executives. Censorship, especially in war time, is very common |

Once again Disney has Pinnochio's nose firmly lodged in the Republican's rectum. It takes some strong backing to want to present Albright in a "false and defamatory" light. |

Chop - thats a fact - it was right around July 4th 1863 - funny thing was that until the casinos moved here - it was against the law to celebrate the 4th of July here - it was a day of mourning - even GABBO couldnt get them to celebrate back then
