Windows Help!
I upgraded to Windows 8 last night but didn't re-boot until this morning. When I view the source for a page I can't put the cursor anywhere on the page, I can copy, but can't paste it anywhere. I can't do anything to the html on a page. Is there a setting somewhere I need to change? I'm dead in the water till I get this figured out. Help!!

I've been told instead of clicking "View Source" I'm supposed to click "File>Edit with Notepad" but I don't see "File" when I right click....
I've got the fix but I don't like it, I have to right click the file before opening the page and select Edit with Notepad. Kinda hard to view changes since I can't toggle back and forth from Notepad to the actual page, oh well..... Got the total solution, after selecting "Open With" I browse and click Notepad, then click the box that says "always use this program to open this kind of file" and everything is as it should be Last edited by Licker4U; 2009-06-04 at 07:09 AM.. |

OK, I have the fix for anyone that goes to IE 8 and can't click View Source, edit your code, exit, save and refresh your page to view the changes.
Open IE, hit F12 which opens Developer Tools, from the File menu select Custmize Internet Explorer View Source, then select Notepad. Now everything is like it was with IE 7 |
