Opinions on code:text
Does the ratio of "real" text to html code factor as a very important SE consideration?
Looking at some peoples html tabled recip codes brought that question to mind because text volume versus html code volume has been something on my mind lately. I've heard it said that if a page has more real readable text than html code, it it's considered to be "better" than an identical *looking* page which has more html code than readable text. This is why sometimes I'd prefer a graphic button with a short alt tag than a non-graphic piece of code that takes up the same physical area on a page, yet uses 15 times more html code... Anyone else think of these odd things and form an opinion? |goodnight |
