My submittal To Cleo's

Hi

Can anyone check this out?

I submitted this site to Cleo's list and got refused.

No problem getting the turn down, but the reason was for blind links.

I've scoured all 4 pages and cannot find a blind link.

Pehaps the two freebie pics on the main page, but they are not links but part of the page design.

Perhaps the alt tags on some images?
Are they allowed?

2 things that could be the problem here,

1. your very strange sponsor URL: http://c.fsx.com/c?z=286,85697,1,tf_...fantasies.com/

2. The flash buttons you use as "Enter" and "Exit" links

I stopped reviewing when I got to the Enter link that was done in Flash since links done in Flash are completely blind.

I just took a look at the rest of the site and it looks fine.

Kill the Flash buttons and I'll list it if you resubmit it.

She rejected one of mine for blind links and the all the girls on the site were blind????

Hmmm, my first two you accepted and listed had the exact same flash buttons..they must have gotten past you then.

I fixed and submitted this one without the flash, and will adjust those other two later in the week when I add a page to each.

All part of my learning experience I guess...I just hope I don't make so many errors as to get banned

I try to post these early ones here for people to comment on, but haven't gotten replies as to what is forbidden that I might accidently do.

No more flash buttons for me on these pages

The alts are ok on images though as long as they are not misleading?
Also the onmouseover on the long sponser links as long as the alt text shows the actual site url?

I don't care what your alts say as long as it is over 18.

Mouseovers are fine as long as they show the URL that the surfer will be taken to. A good mouseover doesn't look like a mousover.

I've never banned someone for making mistakes as lone as they don't ignore their e-mail and keep on submitting the same mistakes over and over again.

Webmasters that are active on the boards rarely have any problems with ban lists.
