Ever Have Bad Days?
Well the title says it all.
Today's been a bad day for me. Spent the past couple of days rearranging the basement recroom to make room for my new bigscreen and today when it arrived they opened it and the base was all cracked. So they don't bring it in and they can't deliver another one until Tuesday. ![]() Then the furnace guy arrives because our AC is leaking water and he tells me just now it's $900+ to repair but since the unit is old I should just get a new one. A new one is $2000. ![]() |

You can afford to buy a new big screen TV so large that you have to rearrange the basement and you want us to feel sorry for you? Hmmmm.......
I'm kidding man. That sucks. At least you're in CA and you don't really need the air conditioning ![]() |

Hehehe, it's only a 51" As I told Torn the other day. Without the airconditioner the igloo gets all mushy inside especially mid day IF the sun comes out. ![]() |

Ok well I feel for you as my day is going shitty to. Ever try to hang a door? Enuff said. Hey don't you have a window AC unit? You can pick them up form just about anyplace these days. Oh and look on Ebay for the furnace. I needed a new AC Unit two years ago and was freaked at the price. I looked on ebay saw the same ones for like 300 contacted the guy who was selling me the current one and ended up getting the whole job done for 500. granted my AC still sucks but at least I know the units good lol.

![]() Let me tell you bud, in the summer, parts of Canada are just as hot (if not hotter) than some parts of the US. For example, we have been averaging high 80's in Toronto for the past few days now (4 to be exact) and according to Environment Canada (our official meteorological and weather governing body), the province of Ontario is going to experience a VERY long, hot dry summer with average temperatures in the 80's and 90's. Although today was 87F, it did feel like high 90's if you factor in the humidity. That would melt an igloo just about anywhere on earth. ![]() Most cities that are at or close to the US border, feel the same level of heat as northern US cities depending on how industrialized they are. I for one am so glad we have a/c ![]() - cheers

SirMoby knows ALL about the weather, he just likes to bust my balls.
![]() UselessWarrior A pan (2 buckets actually) is what I WAS using but the basin that holds the water as it drains from the AC coil is rotted and that leaks all over the place so some water gets on the floor no matter what. If I was not going camping this weekend you're damn right I'd be using the AC anyway and just have towels down on the floor. LOL It's suppose to be 32 today and tomorrow (90 Fahrenheit) with the humidity putting it to 40 (104 degrees). |shocking| So when the TV comes, party at my house ![]() |

Took the hint.

I have been getting big laugh over here. The house next to me sold ($550,000) and the new buy never realized or thought to ask - it had no central air. New house, less than 4 years old, no air.
So he has guys in today running all the plumbing and installing a new heat pump, furnace, ducting in the basement, etc. With all the other things he is doing, he will probably end up dumping another 50k into the house before he can move in. He should have just bought mine. Alex |

Whereas I would never buy a house that has wheels and a hitch. At least I hope not.

![]() ![]() http://www.linkforsex.com/home/DSC00021.JPG of course the real house is much nicer: http://www.linkforsex.com/home/DSC00018.JPG Ramster - I would have to agree that for just the AC coil to be replaced - you could pick up the part and then just have a plumber come over to install it and remove the old one - and then get the AC guy to recharge the system |

Just got home from camping. Beautiful weather each day. But...Goddam it's hot here. My house is 85 right now. Thankfully I have a basement and it's a little cooler.
I have 2 companies coming out Monday to give me a quote to compare. |

I feel for you, I hate waiting for anything, especially toys that I buy, so when something gets delivered and is screwed up it pisses me off more than anything.
I lack patience so much that, when I bought my 43" Plasma that I wanted custom mounted over my 61" HD Widescreen in the living room I paid a guy that does side work for my personal adventures and money wasting ideas $1200 to build the cabient and complete it the same day, needless to say he brought it to my house at like 2am ![]() |
