Going to the gym once I'm awake and then I really should do web work but I may just goof off all today. I also get to fix the one toilet that I didn't replace. Its flapper is leaking and it needs a special flapper that is always a bit hard to find so sometime today I have to go on a special flapper hunting adventure.

Cleaning up some software I wrote ages ago that I decided to put into action the other day after being very disappointed with the software I was using. The more I analyze the old solution, the more I think -- what was I thinking?

During the hurricanes last year when I had nothing to do but think about some software techniques while slinging tree branches to the curbs, some revelations came that pretty much changed the way I think about writing applications. Well, that put me on a two-day whirlwind to resurrect some code I had written in 2001 or so that had been in use, but not actively. We shall see how the Search Engine gods shine down upon me or completely torment me.

So far, adsense is up to 5.4% on the CTR which is about 1% over its rolling average. We shall see in 30 days whether I made a big mistake or not.
