Buggy Recips

Hi all,

I've noticed that some of LLs that I submit to have minor glitches in their recip code. Nothing too serious, of course, just the odd misplaced tag pair and so on, that upsets the code highlighting in Dreamweaver.

Is it generally considered ok to fix these - as long as the appearance of the recip isn't materially changed, of course? Will it upset bots if I do? Do bots look for the literal recip code, or are they just looking for a URL pointing back to their LL and aren't concerned with the code surrounding it?

TIA,

Rob.

Fixing a faulty recip would be OK. Most LL scripts don't even have a recip checker on submit (that I know of).

My sites check for recip during submission, but they look for my domain link, not HTML code. If they looked for the entire recip snippet, people wouldn't be able to build their funky recip tables like you see all the time.
