Sponsor Hosted Freesite banners?
Do LL's allow those? Guess I should have made sure before actually making a freesite.. the ones I am specifically asking about are the AFF ones where the banner sits on the sponsor's server and I just put the hotlink to it... are these a no-no?

I think most will allow it as long as there's no funky code or iframe on the banner (remember, if it set off an alarm when we review, we tend to decline it)

If it's the geo targetted ones they open a new window which will see your site rejected
*furrows brow* there may be a setting in the custom ad which allows you to change that... check it prior to subbing a site using it... Unless it ads utility as a geo ad does I wouldn't use them - they're frequently slow to load...

Here's the thing. Most reviewers are't going to notice if a banner is served by the sponser.
That being said, a geo targetted ad is a dead giveaway that you are hotlinking something you have no control over. The past consensus was that geo-targeted ads aren't welcome. |

Wheither you think you can or you think you can't, Your right.

I tried sponsor hosted banners once, they either loaded very slowly or never loaded at all. Not worth it to me.
