Blinking text on free sites.

Would you link list owners object if I had one word blinking on one page? Nothing huge, nothing crazy...

Probably going to get mixed opinions on this one.

Personally, I'm okay with it as long as it's not too obnoxious. And perhaps that's the rub, everyone's tolerance level for such things is going to be different. What may not be obnoxious to me, may very well be annoying as hell to someone else.

I say this because just last night, I saw a site with a single word...all the way across the screen...in 2 inch tall letters...SCREAMING at me to SING UP NOW!!! (yes, it really was spelled 'sing'...lol)

Right after I singed up...I DECLINED the site

If you decide to use it, definitely stay with your plan to keep it light and unobtrusive

Well I submitted it.....see what happens...its one word SPECIAL not much bigger than that so hopefully it will be ok.
