Porn Decline Traffic
The folks who hit 'get me outta here I dont want porno' on the entry page where do you send them.... Seriously is this traffic we can get together mold and make some (non-adult) money from by dumping them into a sticky but google ads loaded site?
Or do you all just send em anywhere? I send most of mine to Hell at the moment which is a seriously strange destination and the remainder to walt disney but wouldnt mind making money outta them. They account for 3% of the people who reach my entry pages... wierdly enough which amongst several webmaster is a reasonable volume of traffic!

I don't worry too much about "exit" link traffic, there just isn't much of it. I was sending my exit traffic to T Shirt Hell to see if there was perhaps a mainstream sale or two to be made. I discovered the link almost never got clicked on
![]() If you're getting a lot of it you might want to consider a starting a mainstream blog of some sort or provide some content to try and keep them around long enough to see all your ads If you use an exit on free sites some link lists will consider an affiliate link on the exit to be one of your 3 links out per page, so make sure you don't have more than 2 others ![]() |

lol.... err ok So if I set up a mainstream site you would not mind sending it all your exit trafic then? Lets say 10 webmasters, 10 sites with 1K hits a day each and 1% exit link traffic (my sites seem to run about 3% and I think many of em click to see where it goes) thats .... 10000 hits a day. Serious shit for a mainstream site and with the click per visitor conversion I get on google ads with my stickier site at the moment would give me... er (taps on calculator) about 500 dollars a day. I wouldnt turn it down!

The point I was making is that it's better to keep the surfer from wanting to click the exit link. Why lose a potential sale to a porn surfer curious about where the exit link goes? I use adult warnings but rarely exit links. On sites where I do have them, they rarely get clicked.
At a 1:500 conversion ratio that 10k hits would get you about $600 ![]() |

I don't have any exit links at all, just enter links. I figured out that exit links are a waste of space and "lost pr" (lol

You can now put whatever you want in this space :)

I send them to one of my non-adult directories. If nothing else, it's more PR to that directory. That directory has high PR on all pages, and promotes all of my non-adult sites, as well as facilitates link exchanges for them.

Uhmmm you might want to click that calculator one more time - 10x10x1000x.01=1000 not 10k ![]() ![]() Would be more profitable - if you insist on using exit links - to send the traffic to your own site rather than anyone else - and at least make some Adsense revenue off of it or sell them something at a shopping mall of yours |

I send 'em to one of our mainstream sites that is a relatively close match to the search terms that might've led 'em to the adult site.
Just cross 'em from one traffic net into another basically. |

Kids are great, Appu. You can teach them to hate the things you hate and they practically raise themselves now-a-days, you know, with the internet and all

What i do is send the alternate/Default filter URL out: from all my trade scripts to a mainstream site. You can change where it lands to make tests of course. You know what i was thinking ? Use trade scripts in mainstream ? Why not ? Like if you sell insurance, you set up trades with other insurance sites ? We do it in porn so.... |

I've heard something about sponsors working with exit traffic. Though never actually seen one or worked with them... might be worth a try anyways.
