Anyone else have strange Epassporte activity today?

I received an email from Epassporte today: (I X'd out the critical info)

I typed it in. There was no link within the email. Also, they had my username correct and the new password worked, whereas my old one didn't.

They had major database problems yesterday. They had to reset a ton of passwords. I had to call them and have mine reset yesterday afternoon

You've Pissed me off EPASSPORTE

I am so fed up with their mickey mouse operation over there, calling them doesnt get things solved and their computers are a mess... they are holding my funds and have "temporarly suspended my account" for unusual activity!!! (too much was deposited)

No amount of calls is getting this solved.. they claim they havent received my email (which incidently had scans of my cc, drivers licence, my govt issued health card, and a hydro bill to prove I live at that address).

this has been dragging on for over a month .. first I wasnt getting their emails, so i had to fill out forms to change my email address, now this crap!! and yeah they also changed my password.

I call again tonight and the guy who answers doesnt speak clearly, I ask to speak to supervisor.. shes on another call.. i have to wait.. well this is on my dime, so i asked for her to call me back.. "we dont do that" WTF??! so i have to be on hold for god knows how long? Im so fed up with them I just hung up.

They make me jump hoops so they can hold my cash? and I am not talking about a puny amount .. my card hasnt worked since last week in March .. no sponsors can deposit and I cant withdraw MY CASH!!



Soooooo who do I have to talk to to get this friggen mess sorted? the people who answer the phones dont know a friggen thing and the computer keeps contradicting what they tell me. Everyone I spoke to so far has had a different reason why my account is suspended (wrong email, wrong cv from cc, didnt get my verifiction papers etc)

I dont bash people or programs on boards but Epassporte has me so mad right now, that I have no other choice but to spew my venom here.

I personally have had no real problem with ePass. But the more I see threads like this the more it reminds me of what happened with PayPal and I'm starting to get nervous.

Emerald one of the board members use to be a founding partner in ePass maybe he will post?

There were an database issue that deleted some passwords and those required that they had their passwords reset.
Some accounts got the welcome message mailed and it appears you were one of them.
The virtual VISA comes with all accounts.

Hey, if you are still here - I'd be much happier if Epassporte could charge reloads from my real CC to my epass account as a purchase, rather than a cash advance. Between the fees Epass charges and the fees my CC charges for cash advances, not to mention the higher interest rate charged for said advances, I can only sensibly use Epass when I absolutely have to.

While we're in a moment of suggestions, I'd also like to see epassporte make it so that you can withdraw your money directly to your bank account which apparently is only available if you are in the USA. I am Canadian and that feature is not there, unlike PayPal which allows this (and no, Im not a fan of PayPal either). Likewise, I can't even upload funds from my bank to epassporte, the only way is to use a mainstream Credit card (which if I had one, I wouldn't be using epassporte). The only way to withdraw is request a check (for epass fee of $50 to pull the check book out and write it) or to get an Electron Visa (fee required) to use on a bank machine. Think about this...if I had $1000's of dollars paid out ( which I wish that were true) to my epassporte from a sponsor, I don't think the bank machine would appreciate me punching up the request to spew out $1000's of $$$.

Just a few things to think about "eh"

I was on vacation with my girlfriend in Hawaii last time they fucked up on me...ruined two days of it...worse yet, I had to physically go to their office in Santa Monica to finally resolve everything -- a luxury you don't have unless you live in SoCal and you should never have to do anyway.

I feel your pain.

I wondering about this too, I got the password reset. What REALLY bugs me is why cant they say, why or how it was changed. Even if they say, somethings messed up, WE had to reset your password. I was thinking some one got into my account!

Bad thing is what other choice is there? They are the only one that comes close to a paypal alternative. Not a knock on them as I just started using them, just hearing what happened to Emerald and others. Their fee's sure are higher..

I'm a real BIG fan of epassporte since for me it's the simpliest way to get my money from the sponsors, but I'm feeling Emerald's frustration and I wanted to add my thoughts in this thread. Anyway, it's great Keyser Soze shows up on time and takes care of these glitches.

I just came back here to post, to say that Keyser did in fact resolve this issue and my epassport account is now unblocked and I can once again get sponsors to deposit and best of all I can withdraw my cash lol

I am positive, without Keysers assistance, this would have taken even longer to resolve... to make matters worse, I scanned a utility bill, which was blurry, went to rescan it to resend, and my computer went balistic, had to reformat the whole drive, then i couldnt find the damm scanner disks lol.. (still cant find them) ... when it rains it pours!

Big hugs and thanks Keyser for the speedy resolvement (is this a word?)
