Anyone Going To Soccer World Cup!?

I wonder ... is anyone going to soccer World Cup in Germany!?
Who You gonna cheer for ... I mean Your national team is!?!?
and of course who do You think gonna win the cup!?

I'll be (for now) in three towns for three games ... Netherlands, Argentina and Ivory Coast ... and world cup winner!? Don't know really ... although Brazil are the favorites somehow in past few days I stop supporting this money making machine ... so now I hope for Argentina or France

No plans to watch in person but I will be watching many matches at home. I'm hoping the US can beat either Czech Republic or Italy to make the 2nd round.

This would possibly be a rematch of last World Cup with Brazil and Germany again but I think England looks sharp and the Czech team is the most under rated in the tourney.

Again, The Netherlands think they can be worldchampion. Like they do with every worldcup..., but, sorry stu, they just don't have what it takes to be WC if you ask me, the Cruyff days are long gone

To bad Belgium hasn't qualified (the first time in 24 years) or we could embarasse ourselfs again in front of the whole world.

hey Fonz ... You're right .. just thought to emphasize the difference to those who can't tell or don't know!?!? that we're not talking about American football :-)
... and we'll stop Netherlands just like we've stopped Belgium in qualifying rounds. Guess who do I support (and it's not Spain)

anyways I just hope for good matches

The Netherlands *think* they can be world champ? Hell, half of Sweden are convinced we're going to rule this tournament, with our 3 out of 20 quality players and all... But then again, like my english friend said the other day, "if you don't blow your own horn, then who will?"

Me, I'll be watching the WC from bars around Seoul, probably seeing the Koreans go crazy as they realize they won't be able to repeat the "miracle" from the last WC (where they ended 4th, though many kids here claim they won the WC ).

I watch them on TV durring the last 20 minutes wondering if anyone is going to start a riot. I used to think Americans were crazy painting themselves for our games. But hell those soccer fans just love to kick ass for no reason lol.

stuv: *putting the viking helmet on* RaaaaaaAAAhhaaAhh!!!

Look:

Sweden: Bronze 1950, Silver 1958, Bronze 1994
Holland: Silver 1974, Silver 1978

Not only do we have more medals, but we have more recent medals, AND they're more evenly spread out too

Hey, you know that Korea has a dutch coach, right? And England has a swedish coach, AND we're playing them in the qualifying rounds. Should be interesting..

i do know that germany is worried about a bunch of english hooligans who are on their way to the WC in germany, it would be sad if there will be big fights, its not needed. There are already huge parties going on there i saw on telly , its fun to see all those colors of those countries, dutchies are always orange

Guus hiddink was the coach of korea i believe he made them rock those guys, he is now coach for australia who is also at the WC.Well one thing i do know there is on guy in the younger team of the holland group and every coach in holland said that he was the guy who had to go to the WC in germany, only the coach of the holland team didnt do it, maybe he will regret that decision later, but we will see where we end...stil the dutchies rock, so i keep on with everyone Stu---> <---- Mightymidget

I'm not from brazil, but I am pretty sure they'll take it.

They actually have a stadium in rio with a 200k capacity|shocking| any country that has a soccer stadium with the ability to hold a city in it you have to take pretty serious.

I actually pity their opponents in the finals....and now the final score.....brazil 20.......italy 1

Hope you have a great time at your games in Germany, I'll pretty much be absent save for reviews and a few things during the tornament, I do like my football

We have a sweepstake in my local pub, 32 guys pay £100 each (around $180) with £1000 ($1800) to the winner, and various prize breakdowns after that, lucky me got fucking ANGOLA lmao, best I can hope for is that they finish last in the group which would bring me a £25 ($45) 'booby' prize lol. Talk about things conspiring to make you cuss on the Sabbath!

Oh and winners - if it weren't for Sven I'd say England, but wtf is he doing to us tactically? Strange decisions to say the least However, being the way I am I'll say England anyway - let's see how that pans out in 4 weeks time!

Yeah we pissed our first game 1-0 lol - not encouraging to watch but nevertheless 3 points in the bag. Lot of England fans nervy about the manager though - gonna be another nervy tournament!

Angola losing 1-0 atm, yay!
