well I am back online
hi all the move to another location was a hell of a lot of work after 16 years at the same address, and now we still got work cleaning up loose ends to sell or auction our old house...
anyway I have sbc dsl and I am not crazy about the speed they said it would get a little faster at 10 days?? anyone hear of that? also I was not close enough for a faster package and I could have got cable hi speed but in this old school town its a 8 day wait and they only offer 1 email account thats NOT a hurdle, but just 1 hehe but 14.95 is hard to not try it ![]() what have you guys and gals done in a new move with a different isp?? I wish earthlink was availible here as I hate to learn a new system, I had to go through a whole bunch of BS to get my router to work with there modem |

We're likely buying a new house next summer and we will NOT buy anything that does not have cable hi-speed available...end of story.

Welcome back, Plateman, glad the move went well.
![]() I'm looking at moving to a more "rural" location, and one of the problems is finding a remote location with any kind of high-speed Internet access. I may have to settle for satellite access, which I understand will be slower than I'm used to. (I don't think I can go back to slower speeds again.) In your case I'd say try a cable modem and see how you like it. Unless your area is overloaded with people using cable Internet, that should be your fastest connection.

well I feel better did a little digging and found for 10.00 a month I can keep my old emails and my old home page and everything I was use to...
And after 10 days it dont get a little faster I'll go to hi speed cable but atleast I am able to start building, I was able to latch on with a very low signal with my laptop to review and check stats and sales surprising has been great ![]() |
