Feedback please

I was wondering if I could get some feedback on my site. I know some of you have told me to start off by making freesites, but I've been working on this for a while now, long before I even knew what "free sites" were, so I'd like to finish this before maybe trying my hand at freesites.

here's the address:

Thanks!

You must use one of the reciprocal links that will be given to you after this form has been submitted.
I don't understand the reasoning behind that. I don't think many free site builders will want to go back and add in your recip after the fact. That's just my view though.

I also see that the urls for listed sites are hidden. Are they redirect through a script? That would not be fair to free site builders submitting to you since they would get no link pop in return for the link to you.

I didn't look real close but those two items stood out.

Yeah, I agree... the reasoning behind it was that the script generates a link with an id in it. Everytime somebody clicked on the link, my site would count it, and then rank the site accordingly. The more clicks, the higher the site would be placed in the index. I thought this would be a little more fair to the free site people. In the future, I wanted to use this info to provide free site makers stats on how well their sites are performing, etc.. Anyway, I guess I'll have to think of another way of achieving this.

No, it doesn't redirect, it just opens a new window. THe only reason their hidden is because I wanted to make the entire square a link.. and in order to do this, I had to use javascript. That said, I'll modify it so that the link does appear as a normal anchor somewhere in the box aswell. That should fix the problem.

Just as a note... if anybody sees something potentially malicious on the site, it's not intentional, I just didn't know better. I'm not the kind of guy who wants to scam anybody-- so just tell me about it, and I'll change it.

thanks for the feedback!

For Surfers:

1.
What do I do if I find a link on your site that takes me to a page with child porn on it?

if one of your links takes me to a child porn page you would be in a lot of trouble becuase it is up to you to monitor that but other than that i like it simple and to the point very nice!

Id look around at the rules some other LLs use - things like the content on the same "server" you might want to think about and make on the same "domain", the 3 links out to sponsors you might want to make 3 outgoing links
Im not sure what the purpose of the subdomains are but they look like complete dupe content
The screenshots for the paysites need some work - they look very fuzzy and will turn off surfers
The links to the free and paysites really should be visible in the bottom when you mouseover - most surfers wont click a link that isnt displayed
Also the rule about the site submitte must be listed on another LL already - you might think about changing to have a recip to other LLs - as most submitters usually submit their sites to all LLs at the same time(some even within seconds of each other LOL)

I agree on the sub-domain thing. Once on a niche page it's confusing how one should jump to another niche.

And I'll also third or fourth the notion that no one is going to want to add your recip after the submit the site. Especially a new linklist. Maybe they would for a huge traffic linklist, but why give them a reason not to add you to their recip tables.

Personally, I like your clean design and layout and the css looks clean and well documented. You could probably make more money in mainstream work.

thanks for the feedback,

I fuzzed out all of the screenshots because I'm paranoid of getting slapped by the government for not having the appropriate 2257 records. From what I understand, linking to the pay-site's record keeping comliance statement is not enough. You have to physically have a copy of those documents in your place of business. I'm still trying to think of way to get around this problem, though.

Also the subdomains are for my adwords campaign, which I've been doing for a while and making some cash with. I don't plan on having any free sites on those subdomains, given that I'm paying for every visistor that visits them. I put a link to them at the bottom of the main site because at the time I wasn't planing on opening my list to free sites. Of course, that has since changed :-)

As for everything else, I will definately make those changes.

thanks for the feedback.

So I believe I fixed all of the problems that have thus far been mentioned. My next question is how do I start getting people to list their free sites? Is there a place I can announce it?

Thanks.
