Good Sunday Morning

Well, no Chili cookoff this weekend. The Red Cross who puts the contest on found out yesterday that the local VFW lost it's liquor license. And, I guess, some of the restaurants and even a couple amateurs also have their micro-breweries judged. Since they can't do the damn homemade beer, the best won't be there. So, they are still having a small contest today but the big contest has been rescheduled. It sucks but my children are happy. They all have a lot of chili to take home. We may still go but not to compete.

The only thing the winner gets is a trophy and does not move on to the next stage. You would think that the VFW might have mentioned the liquor license before yesterday but...so it goes.

Good Sunday Peoples

Went to see the Sabres play Calgary last night & I have to say, it was one of the best all around hockey games I have ever seen. We won 3-2 in a Shoot Out, after tyeing it up with less than 4 minutes left in the 3rd. But even if we lost 2-1, I'd still say it was one of the best games ever.

Not too much on the agenda for today - gotta get some movie site submits caught up & rotate some banners.

Morning--Slept in..

Not that yesterday was a hard day in Bearville--I"ve made all my expenses this weekend and then some but not as good as I thought--oh well. At least the strip store was kicking ass!!

Jim--ship some here.. we need GOOD chili in vegas..

Good Mardi Gras Parade Day!

Another day of catching beads and yelling "Throw me Something Mister!"
Fair warning... if you catch the same string of beads I do, let go, cause I'll take your hand clean off to get it.

It's not that I want the stuff, I usually give it to kids and women with children nearby. I enjoy the thrill of the fight to catch that perfect string of beads or doubloon. There's nothing like going into a crowd of a bunch of folks and coming out with the prize.. kinda like recovering the fumble in a big football game.

Leafs/Penguins was a barn burner last night as well, Pens 6-5 in OT but a helluva game. A scrap in the 3rd period resulted in a 5 second TKO with Newbury knocked cold. Game ended just in time to see the Buffalo shootout

a big bugger about the chili contest Jim, but you made your kids happy

Its 8:31 evening here and i didnt do much today, i had my parents for a visite, which was very nice and the rest of the day we where lazy.
I am checking my huge list of all kind of fast diets and i have decide to start with the Mayo Diet tomorrow, the diet will take about 13 days and will make you loose between the 12 and 16 pounds, after those 13 days i will go the gym again...yeah right
