Terminology: AVS, Freesites, etc
I admit, I have a little trouble with some of the terms I see here. I've learned a lot just lurking around, but I still get confused.
For example, if you set up a "free site" and include links to some sponsors, is it considered an "AVS" site or a freesite? Any glossaries? Porn peddling for dummies type thing? |

Rock stars ... is there anything they don't know?

Hi, http://www.universalpass.com is what was commonly referred to as an AVS system or Age Verification System, We now call them Adult Entertainment Networks. The systems purpose is to allow webmaster an easy way to setup access to a content area. The member buys a password fron the AVS/AEN system than get's access to the webmasters gallery, and subsequent upsells.
I hope this adds clarification. |

Thanks for the clarification. So can a free site be an AVS site?

In a way yes! beacause you are not charging a membership to your site, the AVS is doing that. In the case of Universal Pass we are selling a $1.00 Trial to our mega site sex Lotto, and giving a free 1 year Universalpass. So I would say yes! it can be a free site.

freesite: http://www.freeporncorner.com/hard/rock-that-cock/ AVS/AEN site: http://www.real-sexy-amateur-girls.com/bang-teen-hole/ Freesites get their sales by placing advertisements for paysites on their pages. AVS/AEN sites get their sales by selling memberships to the AVS/AEN itself (and a little sales from placing nbanners to other paysites but usually inside the members area then). |

Like Fonz said, a Free Site is not an AVS site. |

So if I put an advertisement, which is a link to one of my sponsors on my "free site", it is then an AVS site?
Would you consider this an AVS? http://lusciousdelights.com/blond/ Also, related question (assuming this is an AVS site): when I submit to link lists many ask for a "backdoor" to the avs sponsor. I really do not want to provide my login info and password for sponsors...am I misunderstanding "backdoor"...? (I love jokes about anal sex, but I would really like a serious answer ) Thanks for all the help! |

It is better to watch things then to do them
|
The backdoor is the url to your content section. You will have, if it is an actual avs site, a page that has the login or sign up info to join the avs system. Then you will have a content section or main page where you will keep the pictures or galleries. Thats where you need to give them the backdoor so they can see your content to approve your site.

I checked your site out an it is not an avs site. To be an avs site you have to promote an avs (adult verification) system. To be honest, you might want to search and read the newbie section to find more info on the differences and how to build a successful freesite.
Hope it helps. Brad |
