FP ADS vs 301 Redirect

I mentioned upon my return from a long absence that I was going to be redesigning my sites. The question I am having is this! Due to a re-alignment and layout of the sites under a domain, I am ending up with a number of pages that are essentially not going to be covered by direct access from the main page. Am I better to put a full page ad that is niche specific in place of the old content or is it more efficient and SE Friendly to do a proper 301 Redirect?

You don't need a 301 redirect if no one is linking to those pages.

If a page was linked from any other page, AND if you want to return the SE value back to the proper pages, then you need to use 301 Redirects.
