help! wordpress gone wild
Okay let me start this off by saying it's a poor neglected blog I started for Heavenlycurves to replace out "whats new page" and we never converted it over to real time. so it's just been there on it's own trying to catch it all up bit by bit.
So the HX we changed servers a few months ago and now I finally had time to look at it and euuuuuwww this is what I see. WordPress database error: [Can't create/write to file '/tmp/#sql_cff_0.MYI' (Errcode: 13)] SELECT DISTINCT * FROM wp_posts WHERE 1=1 AND post_date_gmt <= '2007-11-14 22:42:59' AND (post_status = "publish" OR post_author = 1 AND post_status != 'draft' AND post_status != 'static') AND post_status != "attachment" GROUP BY wp_posts.ID ORDER BY post_date DESC LIMIT 10, 10 see it here: http://heavenlycurves.com/blog Can anyone tell me in "blonde" terminology what happened and is there a way to fix it without losing all my history? thanks so much for your time. My best guess would be that your mysql database got trashed. Can't say if it got trashed in the transfer or if it somehow got trashed prior to the transfer.
Try logging into wp-admin and see if the posts are there. If so and you know someone good with databases there might be a way to fix it. You could try checking to see if there are any backup copies...anywhere But the odds are...... ![]() |

Thanks for the thoughts Walrus. I looked at the admin and though I can see the months and years archives when I go there there is not content. Looks like I should just wipe it out and start all over...

It either the database as Mr. walrus said or something wrong with a directory 'tmp'. Or the file in it. I've made that conclusion because of this:
[Can't create/write to file '/tmp/#sql_cff_0.MYI' (Errcode: 13)] 1. Check existing and permissions of the folder tmp. 2. Check the file #sql_cff_0.MYI, i don't know for what it exists, but try to copy it to your hard drive and delete on the server. If it won't help, put the file back. 3. Contact your admin to ask if there is something wrong with databases.

But that having been said, if you have a good host they probably have a tech who might be able to fix you up. |
