Funny Thing Happened To Me On The Way To The HUN

Several weeks ago I decided to up traffic to my site. I know how to get traffic but so much of it is useless nowadays.

My problem is the less traffic I get the more signups I get. Don't know why but I figure it's due to allowing word of mouth means targeted desired traffic instead of forced traffic or happenstance traffic.

So for years I just streamlined and that was that. So as I said a few weeks ago I decided to be mr smart ass and work on several traffic generating solutions.

First step was getting in contact with fans. Worked great. Tripled signups overnight. Second phase was to branch out and contact more fans. Worked great! Third phase was to work in trade with other webmasters who do nice traffic sites where my niche can thrive and do free cartoon logos for their sites in return for a perm link. So far doing swell! Each step worked fine.

Then yours truly decided it was time to submit to The Hun.

You KNOW where this is going.

Took several weeks but suddenly out of nowhere the Hun listed one of my galleries and the tidal wave of traffic began. It was so overwhelming it got scary. Lucky I have a host who understands or I would have been in megabit hell.

Taught me a lesson! Quite the comedy adventure! So before I go back to driving for mass traffic it's back to 'server school' for me!
